Elkport - A case of drowning at Elkport is reported. On Sunday last, ,about 12 o'clock, Fritz Hoppe of Littleport, while undertaking on horseback, to cross the Turkey River, or rather a body of water which in times of flood intercepts the way to the bridge, was thrown into the water and drowned before aid could get to him. There was an inquest but we have no word of the result.
