Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Goodrich were held at the Peace Evangelical and Reformed church at 3 o'clock, Saturday afternoon. The Rev. Paul Kitterer officiated and burial was in the East Side cemetery.
Two nieces, Mrs. Ray MacTaggart, and Miss Lillian Olson had charge of flowers.
Mrs. Dorothy Goodrich died at the farm home of her brother, Geo. Leuchtenmacher, July 31, 1950 of a heart stroke.
She was the daughter of John and Lydia Leuchtenmacher and was born Feb. 22, 1895 at the home where she met death, in Highland township, Clayton county. She was educated in the country school and attended Bayless Business college, Dubuque. She was married to Lional Goodrich, who died in March, 1950.
Survivors are: three children, Mrs. Bonnie Langley, Roberta Emery, and Harry Emery, all of Santa Barbara, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Ada Olson of Elkader; three brothers, John Leuchtenmacher, Elkader and George and Roy Leuchtenmacher of Elgin. Two brothers preceded her in death, Matthew in 1917, and Philip in 1949. Also her parents, father in 1925 and mother in 1936.
She was confirmed in the Evangelical and Raformed church in Elkader.
At the time of her death she had reached the age of 55 years, 5 months and 9 days.
Pallbearers were: Martin Minnihan, George Gregerson, Edwin Hanson, Selmer Holm, Seymour Wilson, Ernest Christen.
