ST. OLAF: Funeral services for Mrs. Henry T. Embretson, 78, of St. Olaf were held Wednesday morning at 10:30 o'clock from the home to Norway church at 11 o'clock with the Rev. S. J. Strandjord officiating. Burial was in Norway cemetery.
Mrs. Embretson died Monday morning, May 08, at the Postville hospital, where she had been taken April 29 because of a heart attack. She had been ill for several months.
As Emma she was born the daughter of Ole and Karn Wold on a farm in Wagner township, April 26, 1872. She was married to Henry T. Embretson of St. Olaf, Oct. 30, 1897, the couple making their home at St. Olaf.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Blaine.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. E. F. (Lenora) Wilke of Monona; two sons, Vernett and Aden of St. Olaf; three sisters, Mrs. Mollie Larson of St. Olaf, Mrs. Johanna Bursheim of Des Moines, and Nettie Wold of Chicago, Ill.; two brothers, Henry Wold of Sioux City and Knudt Wold of Cutbank, Mont.; and four grandchildren, Thomas and Warren Wilke of Monona and Gary and Cyhthia Embretson of St. Olaf.
Pallbearers were: Myron Lindroth, Roy Engelhardt, Alonzo Engelhardt, Floyd Orvis, Alvin Larson, Orvin Embretson, Theodore de Buhr, and Maurice Vigen.
Those who attended the funeral services from a distance were: Dr. and Mrs. P. J. Bursheim, Mrs. Roy Faaborg and Nancy, and Miss Edna Berger of Des Moines.
