Gottfried Holz died at the County home at Elkader last Thursday night, having been taken over there Wednesday from North McGregor. He was quite old and had been in feeble health, and had been alone since the death of his wife in April.

Two adopted sons, Herman F., of Crookston, Minn., and Richard of Dubuque came to attend the funeral Saturday.
