Mrs. Cecelia Meyers died Monday, Aug. 17, at her home here after two months illness resulting from heart trouble. Funeral services were held Aug. 20 at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic church with Msgr James P. Taken officiating. Burial was made in St. Joseph's cemetery and the following were pallbearers: Francis and Robert Meyers, L. M. Bink, Frank Speck, Thomas Donahue and Leo Killerlain.

Mrs. Meyers, the former Cecelia Ursula Judy, was born at Rockford, Ill., Oct. 10, 1855, daughter of Henry and Ellen Judy. She lived in McGregor with her parents before coming to Elkader. She was married to Nicholas Meyers, Feb. 05, 1877, and they established their home on a farm one and one-half miles northeast of Elkader. Mr. Meyers died in 1920.

Mrs. Meyers is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Josephine LaVoice of Linden, N.J., five sons, Chas. and Henry of Elkader, Bernard of Kansas City, Mo., Leo of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and George of Elkader. Two sons, William and Frank preceded her in death. One brother, Wm. Judy of Elkader; two sisters, Mrs. Barbara Cheeseman of Mason City, and Mrs. Nellie Hodges of Fremont, Nebr., 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive.

Relatives from a distance who attended the funeral were: Mrs. Frank Meyers of Owatonna, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Francis Meyers of Northfield, Minn., Mrs. H. C. LaVoice, Linden, N.J., and Bernard Meyers of Kansas City, Mo.
