POSTVILLE: Funeral services for Chester A. Pearson, 56, who died Tuesday at his home here after a lingering illness, were held Saturday afternoon at the residence and Community Presbyterian church. The reverend L. H. Newhouse, pastor, and Brotherly Love Lodge No. 204 A.F. & A.M. were in charge.
Burial was in Grand Meadow cemetery, east of here.
Mr. Pearson was born August 11, 1885, at Hardin, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Pearson. He was married June 25, 1912, to Miss Eula Jones, after which they lived on his farm near Hardin. For many years he was also associated with the Hall Roberts Son firm here in the fruit and vegetable carload lot sale.
Besides his widow he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Fred Bruns of Mobile, Ala., Mrs. Sidney Larson and Mary, both of Postville; four sisters, Mrs. Georgia Sawdey of Portland, Ore., Mrs. Mattie Dunning of Alva, Okla., Mrs. Katherine Evans of Reno, Nev., Mrs. Jessie Ernst of Postville and five grandchildren.
