Funeral services for Andrew Clauson were held at the Emanuel Lutheran church Sunday afternoon conducted by the pastor Rev. Lawrence A. Stumme. Burial was made in the Strawberry Point cemetery.
As a son of Andrew and Margaret Clauson he was born at Calmar, Sweden, on Oct. 15, 1869 and died at his home Tuesday after a brief illness. He came to the United States when 15 years of age, settling at Tonica, Ill. He was married to Olena Westwick of Millington, Ill., at Ottawa, Ill., Nov. 29, 1899. In 1902 they moved to Hamilton county, Iowa, and remained there until 1920 when they moved to Delaware county. In 1939 they came here where they have since resided.
Surviving are his wife and six children: Mrs. Myra Lunning of Radcliffe; Mrs. Edna Kramer of Alden; Mrs. Esther Koehler of Clinton; Mrs. Florence Vieth of Venice, Calif.; Alvin and Leslie of Strawberry Point, also ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild. There is one sister, Mrs. Julianna Esperson of Bornholm, Sweden.
