Kent Leroy Walters, 41, died of a heart attack at 2:30 Tuesday morning at the home of his wife's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Hook. Although Mr. Walters had mentioned having a pain in his chest for several days he had been up and around and he and Mrs. Walters had worked in the garden that evening.
Funeral services were held at the John Hook home at one o'clock this afternoon, Thursday, Aug. 02, and from the Methodist church at Volga City at 1:30 p.m.
The Rev. Paul Kitterer of Elkader and the Rev. Lee of Volga City officiated. Burial was in Hillcrest cemetery at Volga.
