We are informed that on Friday last, Mrs. Leonard Pickle, who resides with her husband about four miles west of this city in Mendon township, attempted to destroy her life by taking a large dose of corrosive sublimate. She was treated by Dr. Martin, and at the time o going to press we understand there is reasonable hope of her recovery.

Mrs. Leonard Pickle, who it will be remembered we mentioned last week as having made an attempt on her own life by taking a quantity of corrosive sublimate, died on Thursday last.

Note: I was not able to determine her given name or burial place. Her husband's name may have been Leonhart, an early Clayton co. settler
