DIED. At McGregor, Iowa, on Thursday evening, April 24th, 1861, of decline, Allen E. Wanzer, aged 58 years.

The deceased was born in Monroe, Cayuga county, N.Y.; he emigrated to the West in early [illegible] and for over 20 years he has been a resident of Clayton county.

He had a large list of friends, was kind hearted, good to the poor, blunt to the rich and independent of everybody.

He leaves a wife and several children to mourn his departure.
