Clayton County Register, 26 Oct. 1944.

Funeral services for Mrs. Charles Schulte, 77, who died at her home here Monday evening, Oct. 23, following a long period of failing health, will be held from the home at 1:30 p.m. Friday, and the Frieden's Evangelical and Reformed church at 2 o'clock. The Rev. Paul Kitterer will officiate. Burial will be in the Garnavillo cemetery.
