Clayton County Register, 17, Feb. 1944.

Patty Jean, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eldo F. Wilke, died at the farm home of her parents, Sunday noon, Feb. 13, of complications caused by measles. She was born Dec. 18, 1940, and had reached the age of three years, one month and 26 days.

Surviving are her parents, a brother Eldean, and one sister, Marlene; her grandparents, Mrs. Hattie Staack, of Dubuque, and August F. Wilke, of Elkader; four aunts, one uncle and a cousin; also many relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 at the home and at 2 o'clock at the Zion's Lutheran church, Clayton Center, with burial at the new cemetery. The Rev. G. K. Mykland officiated.
