Raymond A. Lange, retired railroad employee, died in a Cedar Rapids hospital at 9 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 26, 1943, after an illness of two weeks. He was born at Mederville, May 09, 1875, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lange. He had been a resident of Cedar Rapids for the last 25 years, employed as a brakeman, switchman and later as flue welder for the Rock Island railway company.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Dale Kramer, Guttenberg, and Mrs. Herbert Gates, San Francisco, Calif., a granddaughter, Cheryl Ann Kramer, and one sister, Mrs. Gus Mentzel, Elkader.
Services were conducted by the Rev. W. A. Jacobs at the Moen chapel in Cedar Rapids at 11 a.m. Tuesday, after which the body was cremated.
