Reque - Bernhard marriage - 1953

At the Methodist church at Monona, Friday, Feb. 26, occurred the marriage of Miss Beverly Bernhard, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Bernhard, and David Reque, son of the Rev. and Mrs. Paul Reque of Redwood Falls, Minn. The service was read by the Rev. Paul Reque assisted by the Rev. E. W. Hilmer, pastor of the Methodist church. The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Howard Bernhard of Monona. Mrs. Bud Alderson of Wadena, and Mrs. Wm. Meyer of McGregor served their sister as matron of honor and bridesmaid. Pete Reque of Redwood Falls, Minn., served his brother as best man. Ushers were Clarence Bernhard Jr., brother of the bride, and Jim Jorgenson of Decorah.

The bride is a graduate of the Monona high school and Luther college. She is an instructor in the Hawkeye Schools. Mr. Reque is a graduate of the Redwood Falls, Minn., high school and is attending Luther college at Decorah, where the new home will be made.
