Miss Prudence Alice Meder became the bride of John David Leachman Saturday, June 22, in the Peace Evangelical and Reformed church. The Rev. Paul Kitterer officiated. Dr. Lloyd Albert Meder and the late Mrs. Meder are parents of the bride. Mr. Leachman is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Clairborne Leachman of Des Moines. Mrs. Robert Clairborne Leachman Jr., of Des Moines was matron of honor. Miss Barbara Summers of Audubon was the bridesmaid. Mark Clairborne Leachman of Des Moines attended his brother as best man. The guests were seated by the bride's brother, Peter Meder of Elkader, and Robert Clairborne Leachman Jr., brother of the groom of Des Moines.

The bride is a graduate of the State university of Iowa City, where she was affiliated with Delta Delta Delta social sorority. She has been teaching in Des Moines. Mr. Leachman, who attended S.U.I., is associated with the Leachman Lumber Co. in Des Moines. The couple will make their home at 1628 48th St., in Des Moines.
