MONONA: Miss Nancy Kay Riedesel, daughter of Mrs. F. Clark Riedesel and the late F. Clark Riedesel of Monona, became the bride of David Fleming, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold L. Fleming of Clare, Mich., at the Methodist church at Monona Saturday, June 15. The Rev. E. Wayne Hilmer officiated. The bride was given in marriage by her mother and her maternal grandfather, Fred C. Franco of Tipton. Christine Ann Riedesel, niece of the bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alan Riedesel of Plattsburg, N.Y., was flower girl. Douglas Fleming of South Lyon, Mich., served his brother as best man, and groomsmen were Alan Riedesel, Plattsburg, N.Y. brother of the bride, and John Hodges, Ithaca, Mich, cousin of the groom.
A reception for approximately 200 guests was held in the church parlors, at which Mrs. Alan Riedesel cut the wedding cake, Mrs. Douglas Fleming, sister-in-law of the groom, served the cake, and Mrs. Marvin H. Little, Alexandria, Va., aunt of the bride, poured.
The bride is a graduate of the Monona-Farmersburg Community schools and Cornell college, Mount Vernon, Iowa. She has been an instructor in sewing in the home economics department of the high school in Alpena, Mich., for the past year. Mr. Fleming is a graduate of the Clare, Mich., high school and Ferris Institute in Michigan. He has been an instructor in the junior high school at Alpena, Mich., for the past year.
The new couple will make their home at Carsonville, Mich., where Mrs. Fleming will be home economics and girl's physical education instructor and Mr. Fleming will teach business education and direct boys' athletics.
