STRAWBERRY POINT: Miss Celia Cummings of Strawberry Point, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. D. Cummings of Fayette, and Richard Opperman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Opperman of Strawberry Point, were married, Dec. 22, in Emanuel Lutheran church. The Rev. S. J. Meyer officiated. Attendants were the bride's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Ward of West Union.

The bride graduated from Fayette high school, attended Upper Iowa University, and this year is second and third grade teacher in the Strawberry Point school. The groom was in service twenty-one months, and spent fifteen months overseas with the 42nd Infantry division.

The bride will complete the school year, and after March 01 the couple will live on a farm northeast of Strawberry Point.
