Miss Arlene Mary Peterson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Peterson of St. Olaf, Iowa, was married to Russell W. Leeman, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. K. Leeman of Lynwood, Calif., on Nov. 19. The ceremony was solemnized at the Lutheran parsonage at St. Olaf, by the Rev. S. J. Strandjord. Miss Frances E. Peterson, cousin of the bride, was maid of honor, and Robert B. Leeman, brother of the groom, was best man.
Mrs. Leeman was graduated from Elkader high school in 1942 and also attended Elkader junior college. She has been teaching school in Clayton county for the past four years. Mr. Leeman was graduated from Compton junior college in Compton, Calif., in 1942. He entered the Army Air Forces in Feb. of 1943 and served until Feb. of this year. During that time he spent eleven months overseas in the Asiatic-Pacific theater. The past eight months he has been working for the bride's parents.
The new couple will make their home for the present on the Will Monlux farm near St. Olaf.
