Thurn - Holden marriage - 1946

THURN - HOLDEN

Shirley Mae Holden, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Holden, became the bride of Carl Sherman Thurn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Thurn, Friday, Oct. 25. The ceremony occurred at the parsonage of Our Redeemer Lutheran church with the Rev. W. D. Tolson officiating. Attendants were Miss Blanche Bordon of Volga and Calvin Way of Strawberry Point.

Mrs. Thurn attended Elkader high school and Mr. Thurn is a graduate of the Edgewood high school. He served as a Technical Sergeant in the army. He was in the service four years, three months of which were spent in the Pacific area. He received his discharge in June

The couple will be at home in Edgewood, where Mr. Thurn is a stock buyer.
