Schmidt - Wahl marriage - 1946

SCHMIDT, WAHL, DITTMER

At the Peace Evangelical and Reformed church in Elkader, Miss Pricilla Ann Wahl became the bride of George W. Schmidt, Monday. The Rev. Paul Kitterer officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Perry Wahl of Prairie du Chien, Wis., and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George H. Schmidt, of Elkader.

Maid of honor was Miss Joyce Thompson of Cedar Rapids, and best man was Don Schmidt of Elkader, brother of the groom.

Ushers were Jack Dittmer, a cousin of the groom, Max Eggleston of Waverly, John Weaver of Shenandoah, and Dave Arnold of Manchester.

The new couple will spend several weeks in the lake region of Minnesota before returning to Elkader to make their home.

The bride is a graduate of the Harvey, N.Dak., high school and attended Elkader junior college and Manchester college at St. Paul, Minn. She graduated from St. Mary's school of Nursing at Rochester last May.

The groom is a graduate of Elkader high school and the School of Pharmacy at the University of Iowa where he was affiliated with Phi Kappa Psi. He is now associated with his father in the Schmidt Pharmacy in Elkader.
