Tuesday morning at Sacred Heart church, in Littleport, Miss Edythe Mary Whittle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clem Whittle of Elkport, became the bride of Dale Thomas Peck, of Cedar Rapids. The Rev. Father McEnany officiated. Alter boys were Malcolm Whittle, brother of the bride, and Paul Kafer. Miss Ivanell Meenan, of Elkader, a friend of the bride acted as bridesmaid, and Earl Whittle, brother of the bride, served as best man.
The bride is a graduate of the Elkader high school with the class of 1942, and since has been employed at the Colonial Bakery in Cedar Rapids. The groom is a graduate of the Manley high school of Manley, Iowa, and is now employed as a welder with the Iowa Steel Co. in Cedar Rapids, where the new home will be made.
