Miss Lela June Nelson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Nelson of Elkader, and Loraine Horstman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbert Horstman of Guttenberg, were married at the Evangelical Lutheran church of Our Redeemer in Elkader, Friday afternoon, Jan. 11. The Rev. W. Tolson officiated. Attending the bride as maid of honor was her sister, Mrs. Harlan Thurn, and another sister, Mrs. Wm. Schmidt, and Evelyn Horstman, a sister of the groom, as bridesmaids. Best man was the groom's brother, Elmer Horstman, and William Schmidt and Harlan Thurn, brothers-in-law of the bride, were the ushers.
The bride graduated from the Elkader high school with the class of 1943 and has since been employed at Madison, Wis., and Rockford, Ill. The groom graduated from the Guttenberg high school with the class of 1943. He recently received his honorable discharge from the Army following three years service with the Army Air Corps, one year of which was spent in the South Pacific area.
