Weger - Axtell marriage - 1946

STRAWBERRY POINT: New Year's afternoon Miss Florine Axtell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Meron Axtell, and Walter Weger, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Weger, were married at Emanuel Lutheran church by the Rev. S. J. Meyer. The bride's attendants were Mrs. Elmer Weger as matron of honor, and Mrs. Donald Weger and Miss Vera H_ck as bridesmaids. Elmer Weger was his brother's best man. Sharon Weger was flower girl and Lowell Hamlett was ring bearer. Donald Weger and Alvin _eulner were the ushers.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Weger are graduates of the Strawberry Point high school. Mrs. Weger taught in the rural schools, and Mr. Weger, who recently received an honorable discharge, was in the service forty months with the 117th cavalry, served eighteen months overseas in the European area.

The home will be made here.
