Oldfield - Severson marriage - 1950

OLDFIELD, SEVERSON, DAVIS, FUELLING

At the Norway Lutheran church, Dec. 15, occurred the wedding of Elaine Severson (R. N.) to Charles B. Oldfield. Dr. S. J. Strandjord officiated. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Davis, of Cedar Rapids, brother-in-law and sister of the groom, were the attendants. Ushers were Eldon Severson and Lorimar Fuelling, brother and cousin of the bride.

Miss Severson is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Severson of near Elkader. Mr. Oldfield is the son of Mrs. Lena Oldfield and the late Mr. Oldfield of Cedar Rapids.

The bride is a graduate of the Elkader public school and St. Luke's School of Nursing at Cedar Rapids, where she is now employed as a supervisor of one of the departments. Her husband is a graduate of the Franklin high school and is now employed at Smulekoff's in Cedar Rapids, where the new home will be made.
