Strawberry Point: A pretty wedding took place on Nov. 11, when Irene Otterbeck Phillips, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Otterbeck of Strawberry Point, became the bride of Max Fliehler of Strawberry Point. Attending the couple were Miss LaVerle Welsh, friend of the bide, and Emmet Morris, friend of the groom. The Reverend Father Wilfred Kress officiated at St. Mary's Catholic church in Strawberry Point.

Following the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served by Mary Dillon and Marvel Wenger, cousins of the bride.

Following a short wedding trip, the couple will be at home at Anamosa, where the groom is a teacher in the public school.

The bride is a graduate of Volga high school and the groom graduated from Strawberry Point high school and attended Wartburg college in Waverly and the University of Iowa.
