At the Congregational Christian church on Sunday, May 21, 1950, Miss Charlyn Hader became the bride of Ira Boyd Huggins. The Rev. Herbert G. Kelly officiated. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hader and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Pearl Huggins, all of Elkader. Mrs. Wm Dohrer served her sister as matron of honor and Elmer Eggimann, friend of the groom, acted as best man. Ushers were Roger Huggins, nephew of the groom, Larry White, Robert Seybert and William Bergstrom.
The bride is a graduate of the Elkader high school and since graduation has been employed by the Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. Mr. Huggins is also a graduate of the Elkader high school and attended Elkader Junior college. He served four years with the U.S. Navy. He is a graduate of the Iowa Barber college of Des Moines and is taking his apprenticeship at Iowa City where the new home will be made.
