MARRIED - At the Brisbois Home, Prairie du Chien; July 1st, by Rev. F.W. Delap, Mr. Thomas E.B. Whitmore to Miss Elmira Farnam, both of Monona, Iowa.

With the above notice came an attendant that was very grateful - a sham sort of pain that Whit occasionally afflicts his friends with. May no other pain ever visit the happy pair. We designed writing quite a sermon on Tom's demise as a bachelor but the 4th and the President's Message confused us that we forgot it - it is now too late to deal in sentiment.
