Bickel - Corlette marriage - 1942

MONONA: Miss Ruth C. Corlette, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Corlette of Linton, Indiana, and Herbert E. Bickel, son of Mrs. LeRoy Bickel of McGregor, were married Saturday in the Methodist church by the Rev. Harley W. Farnham. The attendants were Miss Luella Schlotfeldt, a friend of the bride, and John Bickel of McGregor, brother of the groom.

Mrs. Bickel is a graduate of the high school at Cincinnati, Ohio, and attended Iowa State College at Ames and is a home economics instructor in the Monona high school where she will finish her term. Her husband is a graduate of the Department of Commerce of the University at Madison, Wis., and while there was affiliated with the Alpha Kappa Psi fraternity. He is operating the Bickel's grocery at McGregor where they will make their home.
