Hock - Druecker marriage - 1944

STRAWBERRY POINT: Miss Martha Marie Druecker became the bride of A. Llewellyn Hock, Saturday, Sept. 09, in the St. Sebald Lutheran church, with the Rev. H. Hahn officiating. Mrs. Edward Preuss, the bride's cousin of Strawberry Point, and Miss Vera Hock, sister of the groom, were bride's maids. Mrs. Elmer Weger was matron of honor. Elmer Weger was best man. Carol Joan Druecker, niece of the bride, and Rose Marie Hahn were flower girls.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Druecker of Strawberry Point. She has taught in the rural schools of Clayton and Fayette counties. The groom, son of Mr. Fred Hock of Strawberry Point, is a theological student at Wartburg seminary at Dubuque, where he expects to complete his studies in January, 1945. He received his college training at Iowa State Teacher's college, Cedar Falls, and Wartburg college, Waverly, Iowa. He was graduated from Wartburg college in 1942. Previous to his college days he taught in a rural school near Strawberry Point.

The couple will make their home in Dubuque until January.
