Miss Maxine Welsh, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Welsh of Elkader, became the bride of Robert F. Kester, son of Mrs. W. E. Stevens, New Albin, Thursday, at St. Joseph's church in Elkader. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. J. P. Taken officiated. The bride's sister, Miss LaVerle Welsh, was bridesmaid, and the groom's brother, Wayne Kester, was best man.
Mrs. Kester is a graduate of St. Joseph's school in Elkader and attended Clarke college in Dubuque, For the past few years she has been teaching school at New Albin. The groom is a graduate of the New Albin high school and attended the Army Air Force Technical Training School at Buckley Field, Colo. He has been recently honorably discharged from the service. The couple will live in Davenport, where Mr. Kester is employed.
