Leonard - Farmer marriage - 1944

Miss Dorothy Mae Farmer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Farmer of Strawberry Point, and Irving Alvin Leonard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Leonard of Elkader, were married Saturday at the parsonage of St. Mary's Catholic church in Strawberry Point. The Rev. Father J. P. Boyle officiated. The couple were attended by Miss Erma Farmer, sister of the bride, and James Leonard of Mederville.

Mrs. Leonard attended the rural schools and St. Joseph's school at Elkader. The groom is a graduate of the Maynard high school and the Reisch Auction school, Austin, Minn. The new home will be made on the farm of the groom's father five miles west of Elkader.
