Thein - Miller marriage - 1944

Corp Earl Thein, son of Mrs. Selma Thein of Garber, and Miss Elmira J. Miller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Miller of Guttenberg, were united in marriage at the Frieden's Evangelical and Reformed church parsonage at two o'clock Tuesday afternoon. The Rev. Paul Kitterer, pastor, officiated. Their attendants were Miss Lavon Miller, sister of the bride, and Ernest Winch, Jr., cousin of the groom.

Corp Thein, who has been in the service for the past 28 months, returned to the United States May 05 after 22 months in the Aleutians.
