McDowell - Leonard marriage - 1944

Miss Mary Leonard, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. F. Leonard, became the bride of Stanley McDowell, son of Mrs. Norma McDowell of Colesburg, Tuesday morning in St. Joseph's church in Elkader. The nuptial mass and ceremony was performed by the Rt. Rev. Msgr. James P. Taken. The maid of honor was Erma Stannard, friend of the couple, and bridesmaids were Wilma Alderson, friend of the couple, Marry Lou Dalen and Maxine Adams, cousins of the bride. The bridegroom was attended by James Leonard, brother of the bride.

Mr. and Mrs. McDowell will make their home on Mr. McDowell's mother's farm near Colesburg.
