Funeral services for Phyllis J. Corbett, 58, Tipton, were held Jan. 20, 1987 at Sheets and Son Funeral Home, with the Rev. E. C. Wolfe officiating. Pallbearers were Darrel McCrea, Gary Schlueter, Dwain Meyer, Harlan Meyer, Richard Meyer and Calvin Paup. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Mrs. Corbett died Jan. 16 at University Hospitals in Iowa City following an extended illness.

The daughter of Fred L. and Luella E. Marks Schlueter, she was born Oct. 11, 1928 in Bennett. She attended the Bennett schools. She married William G. Corbett Nov. 26, 1949 in Davenport and she was a homemaker. She was a member of the Tipton VFW Auxiliary.

Mrs. Corbett is survived by her husband, William, Tipton; 3 daughters, Linda Sue Corbett, Bow Belles, N.D.; Mrs. Glen (Sharon) Paup, Mechanicsville and Susan Jean Corbett, Tipton; a son, Michael, Tipton; a sister, Mrs. Al (Gerry) Ashmead, Lancaster, Mo.; 3 brothers, Robert L. Schlueter, Waterville, Minn; Ronald E. Schlueter Tipton and Allen Schlueter, Oelwein and 4 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
