Funeral services for Glen A. Conant, 64, Tipton, were held Jan. 16, 1987 at Sheets and Son Funeral Home in Tipton, with the Rev. Richad Smith officiating. The vocalist was Diane Moon and the organist was Betty Trevathan. Pallbearers were Grant White, Jack Reeve, Jerry Bunge, Tom Ehresman, Lavon Cornell and Carroll Myers. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Mr. Conant died at the Cedar Lanes bowling alley in Tipton Jan. 13 after suffering a heart attack.

The son of Benjamin and Maud Waring Conant, he was born Jan. 31, 1922 in McHenry, N.D. He attended Lamont high school in Lamont, Ia.

He married Pearl Yost Aug. 23, 1954 in Preston, Minn.

Mr. Conant was the retired assistant to the Cedar county engineer and a licensed surveyor. He had lived in the Tipton area for the past 29 years. He was a veteran of World War II and a former member of the Tipton VFW and the Tipton Moose Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Pearl, Tipton; 3 daughters, Mrs. Vicki Breck, Tipton; Debra Conant, DVM., Lebanon, Ore. and Mrs. Brian (Dawn) Claney, Plano, Texas; 2 stepdaughters, Mrs. Chuck (Judy) Lukemyers and Mrs. Tom (Beverly) Petitgout, both of Tipton; a sister, Mrs. William (Florence) Anson, Loveland, Colo.; a brother, Lynn Conant, Lamont; 7 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
