Funeral services for Mrs. Fred (Doris) Beeth, 102, were held at Durant Oct. 8 with the Rev. Mark Holmer officiating. Burial was in the Durant cemetery. Mrs. Beeth died at the Muscatine Care center Oct. 6.

The former Doris Knees was born in Holstein, Germany Dec. 10, 1883. She was married to Fred Beeth in Durant in 1900.

She is survived by 2 sons, Hans, Wilton and Walter, Davenport; a daughter, Mrs. John (Velma) Hinrichs, Durant; 10 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 sons and 3 daughters.
