Funeral services for Mrs. Joe (Jeanette Leighty) Williams, 53, were held at Cedar Rapids Sept. 23 with the Rev. Ramon Booth of the Central Assembly of God church officiating. Pallbearers were Rus Leighty, Bill Leighty, Jerry Leighty, Larry Williams, Blair Williams and Ronnie Williams. Burial was in Shiloh cemetery in Linn county.

Mrs. Williams died at St. Luke's hospital, Cedar Rapids, Sept. 20.

The daughter of Roy E. and Genevieve E. Schweitzer Leighty, she was born at Tipton Jan. 8, 1933. She was married to Joe Williams at Monmouth Aug. 9, 1953. She had been secretary for the Lazy Lassies Bowling league in Cedar Rapids for 15 years.

She is survived by her husband; 4 sons, David, Knoxville; Daniel, Marion; Dale, Cedar Rapids and Quinn, at home; her parents; 3 brothers, Russ Leighty, West Branch; Bill Leighty, Tipton and Jerry Leighty, Cedar Rapids; a sister, Donna Andresen, Fontana, Calif. and a grandchild.
