Last rites for A. Milo Carroll, 85, will be held at the Sheets and Son Funeral Home at 10 a.m. today (Oct. 15) with the Rev. E. C. Wolfe officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery. Pallbearers are 6 grandsons, Jim, John, Dennis and Kevin LaMar, David Yutesler and Brian Wear. Honorary pallbearers, also grandsons, are Eric and Eron Sievers, Kevin Sutton and Steve LaMar. Kathy Schott was organist and Diane Moon vocalist.

Mr. Carroll died at his home in Tipton Oct. 12.

The son of Charles and Austia Park Carroll, he was born near Stanwood Dec. 12, 1900. He graduated from Stanwood high school in 1917. He was married to Doris Herring in 1921. She died in 1963. He was married to Erna Butterbrodt at Bennett Nov. 7, 1964.

A retired farmer, he had been a Tipton resident for 22 years. He was a member of Peace United Church of Christ, Bennett and the Lions club.

He is survived by his wife; 3 daughters, Mrs. Lloyd (Verla June) Sievers, Ortonville; Mrs. David (Velma Jean) Easker, Metaire, La.; Mrs. Glen (Vera Janette) Fuller, Medina, N.Y.; a step-daughter, Mrs. Tom (Rita) Massey, Cedar Rapids; 10 grandchildren; 7 step grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Irma Nelson, Mechanicsville.

He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, 2 brothers and 3 grandchildren.
