Graveside services for Lawrence F. Carey, 80, former Tipton resident, were held at St. Mary's cemetery Sept. 16 with the Rev. Joseph P. Hines officiating. Mr. Carey died at the Veterans Administration medical center, Milwaukee, Wis. Sept. 11.

The son of George and Sadie Doyle Carey, he was born in Tipton Nov. 8, 1905. He attended the Tipton schools. He was never married. He was a veteran of World War II.

He is survived by 2 cousins, Mrs. Alice Thompson, LeClaire and John Hickey, Davenport.
