Last rites for Fred H. Maurer, 86, were held at the Wilton United Presbyterian church Sept. 18 with the Rev. Telford Dindinger officiating. Burial was in Oakdale cemetery, Wilton. Pallbearers were Harold Pagel, Gary, Dale and Leo Maurer, Douglas Hora and Robert Aronson.

Mr. Maurer died at Muscatine General hospital Sept. 15.

The son of Robert and Rose Marolf Maurer, he was born in Wilton Oct. 28, 1899 and was married to Lulu Beinke in Wilton Dec. 9, 1925. He was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Wilton Masonic lodge for more than 60 years.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Norman, Wilton; 3 grandchildren and a great-grandson. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers.
