Funeral services for Emma D. Stolte, 83, Lowden, were held at 10:30 a.m., May 5 at Trinity Lutheran church with the Rev. Michael Heggen officiating. Mrs. Lorenz Hoffmeier was organist with the male choir singing. Pallbearers were Bruce, Brian and Barry Hoffmeier, Scott, Stan, Stacey and Shawn Stolte; Frederick Montz and Robert Fiala. Flower girls were JuLayne Hoffmeier, Jennifer Rechlin, Sherri Shea and Mari Fiala. Burial was in the Trinity cemetery.

Emma Meier was born May 13, 1895 at Lowden, the daughter of F. J. and Wilhelmina Licht Meier. She married Emil Stolte Jan. 31, 1917 at Lowden. He died in 1972. Mrs. Stolte died at home May 2.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran church, the Ladies Aid, Trinity Sewing Circle and the Lowden Amvets Auxiliary.

Survivors are 5 daughters, Mrs. Harold (Gertrude) Hoffmeier, Lowden; Mrs. Donald (Luetta) Zioleck, New Berlin, Wis.; Mrs. C. R. (Florence) Montz, Bismark, N.D.; Mrs. George (Gladys) Scheeper, Lowden; and Mrs. R. M. (Luverne) Fiala, Santa Barbara, Calif.; a son, Larry, Lowden; 13 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and a brother, Herman Meier, Wheatland.

She was preceded in death by her husband, an infant son, 2 brothers and a sister.
