Funeral services for Nicholas G. (Nick) Griebel, 82, will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran church, Bennett, at 10:30 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in Inland cemetery.

Visitation is at the Sheets and Son funeral home from 2 to 9 p.m. today, May 10, and from 9 a.m. until the service at the church Friday.

Mr. Griebel died at Cedar Manor May 8 after an extended illness.

The son of Hans and Ida Gohlke Griebel, he was born at Manning and was married to Erna E. Beyer in Ramona, S.D. in 1919. He was a retired farmer, carpenter and seed corn salesman.

Mr. Griebel was a veteran of World War I.

He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Clarence (Hazel) Hartwig, Bennett; a son, Richard, Pittsville, Wis., 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and a brother, William, Morristown, Minn.
