Services Held Monday For Mrs. Ethel Brindley

Mrs. Ethel Brindley, 58, wife of Tom Brindley, former Anita resident died Saturday morning, March 14 at the Atlantic Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient since Dec. 26. She had been in ill health the last year.

She was the daughter of John and Hannah Kirchoff Paulsen and was born in Idaho, April 10, 1900 and came with her parents to Bear Grove Township when a small girl. She and Mr. Brindley were married Oct. 14, 1920. She was a member of the Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband and two sons Leo Brindley of Anita and Earl Brindley of Atlantic; two daughters, Mrs. Oscar Mikklesen, Anita and Mrs. Floyd Gearhart, Atlantic; three brothers, Henry Paulsen of Wiota, John Paulsen, Griswold; Clarence Paulsen, Kansas City; three sisters, Mrs. Effie Pipgrass, Mrs. Ray Smith and Mrs. Merritt Lloyd of Atlantic and nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. Frank Rousscau and Nellie Paulsen.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, March 16 at the Roland Funeral Home, Atlantic with Rev. Donald C. Bissinger officiating. Pallbearers were F. J. Becker, Joe Zoncha, Milo Mardesen, C. A. Swinchart, Russell Morgan and Hugo Meyers, Interment was in the Atlantic Cemetery.
