Secretly Wed at Nashua

Friends here were surprised to learn today of the marriage of Miss Mildred Mae Joyce and Mr. Herbert Smith, both of the Buck creek vicinity, at Nashua Wednesday. The couple slipped away from here quietly and were married at the Little Brown church, according to word received by relatives yesterday afternoon.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John R. Joyce of this city. She was graduated from the Atlantic high school and attended Iowa State college at Ames the last two years. Mr. Smith is a farmer in the Buck Creek vicinity, where the young people will make their home.
