Just had success on part of the McCauliff query so thought I would try another member of that family who lived in Butler county.
Mary Ann McCauliff Crotty Doyle lived in Allison in 1900 census. Her son (from first marriage) Joseph Patrick Crotty was head of house and his daughter (whose name I never transcribed) plus Mary Ann and her two daughters, Jane and Catherine were both living in same place.Jane married unknown McGee and have just found that Catherine married an unknown Johnson. She, Mary Ann and Crottys are all buried in Dumont cemetery plus Mary Ann's sister Catherine McCauliff Kelley and her husband Joel.
Several years ago, I was in contact with another McGee who was also researching Butler County. Don't believe we were connected but new info might be interesting to him--Bob McGee from Clinton.
Joseph Patrick Crotty lived in Butler County for some time. There are a number of Crottys in that area who might be related. Pretty sure Joseph was born in Wisconsin and moved to be near family of John McCauliff (uncle) and his wife, Susan Frances Biggs and their family. Have tracked down one child's descendants but changed computers and lost address so researching that connection also. Any help would be appreciated.
