Rites Held Here Tuesday
Afternoon for Oscar Harvey

Oscar Harvey of Aitkin, Minnesota, formerly of this city, died at a convalescent home in Minnesota Saturday after 15 months of illness from complication of old age. He was 85 years old at the time of his death.

Mr. Harvey had lived most of his life in La Porte City and for many years he operated a creamery. He also was butter maker for the Fosse Produce Co. many years. Two years ago he moved to Aitkin to live with his son Uzelle. Besides his son he leaves one grandson and two great grandchildren. His wife, one daughter, Mrs. Robert Haire, one grandson and all of his brothers preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held at the Johansen funeral home here Tuesday afternoon, and were conducted by Rev. Oliver Jensen, pastor of the Methodist church. Burial was in the family lot in West View cemetery.
