Fred Gallarno, Former La Porte Resident, Dead

La Porte City – Fred Gallarno, resident of La Porte City prior to his departure 40 years ago for the west, died recently in Okanogan, Wash., his sister, Mrs. D. J. Hummel, of this place has been informed.
Mr. Gallarno was born in DeKalb, Ill. and when about 12 years old came to La Porte City with his family. He is survived by the sister here, a brother, George Gallarno, Des Moines; his widow and nine children.
Death occurred Jan. 13, at the home of a daughter. Mr. Gallarno was 80 years old.
