The Mass of Christian Burial for Wanda W. Lacy, 71, was conducted June 17, 2005 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dedham, with Father Anthony Pick officiating. Interment was in the Cameron Center Cemetery north of Ross. Casket bearers were Dan Dawson, Louie Schultes, Leo L. Schultes, Joe Schultes, Mike Gollobit, and Dudley Owen.

Wanda Winona Lacy, the daughter of Robert Lacy Sr. and Mable Marie Hicks Lacy was born August 28, 1933 at her parents’ home south of Dedham and died June 14, 2005 at the Manning Regional Care Center in Manning.

Wanda was baptized and confirmed at the Methodist Church in Dedham. She attended Viola schools, graduating with the high school class of 1952. Following high school Wanda helped operate the family farm and care for her parents. In the early 1980’s she started a consignment shop with her sister–in–law Emma. In 1990 Wanda became the sole owner of the consignment shop which she retired from and sold in 1998. During retirement she traveled with her special friend, Richard, and recently had been a foster grandparent for several children.

Wanda was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dedham. She was a foster grandparent through the Manning School District.

Preceding her in death were her parents and her brother, Robert (Bob) Lacy, Jr.

Survivors include her special friend, Richard Gollobit of Coon Rapids; her niece, Amy and husband, Dan Dawson; her great nieces: Jade Dawson and Alexis Dawson; her sister–in–law, Emma Lacy, all of Manning; Richard’s family: Michael and wife Deb Gollobit of Hastings, NE; Michelle Gollobit of Alamogordo, NM; Lisa Gollobit of Honolulu, HI; cousins, other relatives and many friends.
