PROMINENT FARMER
SUCCUMBS TO STROKE
LONG TIME RESIDENT STRICKEN
WITHOUT WARNING DIED
AFTER WEEK'S ILLNESS

The death of Albert Fredrick of
Greeley township occurred on Tues-
day, March 25, following a stroke of
paralysis a week previous.

Mr. Fredrick was prominent in the
fraternal organizations of the county
and belonged to a number of local
lodges. For many years he held var-
ious offices of trust, being for eight
years township clerk and served as
secretary of the school board fourteen
years.

Albert Fredrick was born August
28, 1850, in Howard county, Maryland.
He came to Audubon county with his
parents in the year 1878 and has
continously resided here since. On
May 10, 1885, he was united in mar-
riage to Nellie M. Knox to which
union were born nine children, five
sons and four daughters. The children
are Mrs. Clara Johnson, Mrs. Ruth
Porter, and Lyman Fredrick of Wes-
sington Springs, S. D.; Mrs. Iva Brau
of Marengo; Mrs. Maud Schwab and
Lloyd Fredrick of Greeley township;
Lee, Earl and Marvin, at home.

During many years the family have
lived in Greeley township, although
for a few years Mr. and Mrs. Fredrick
lived in this city and he managed the
Farmers' Cooperative Co.

Funeral services will be held at the
Federated church tomorrow (Friday)
afternoon at two o'clock, conducted by
Revs. Baldwin and Chord and the
Masonic lodge. Interment in Exira
cemetery.
