Marius Christensen, 65, died Thursday, October 25, 1956 at the Audubon Audubon hospital where he had been a patient for about two months.

He was born August 18, 1891 in Denmark, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Niels Christensen and was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. At the age of 18, he came to America and made his home with the Thomas Christensen family near Elk Horn until April 2, 1915, when he was married to Mrs. Laura (Holmgaard) Mortensen. They lived on a farm one mile west of Kimballton until 1943 when they moved to Kimballton. Mr. Christensen did carptenter work until ill health forced him to retire. He was a member of the Kimballton Lutheran Church.

Funeral services will be a 1:30 p.m. at Jensen's Funeral Home and at 2 p.m. at the Lutheran Church with the Rev. Holger Strandskov officiating. Interment will be in the Kimballton cemetery.

Surviving besides his wife is a daughter, Mrs. James Hope of Sioux City; four sons, Norman of New Sharon, Edmund and Herbert of Hamlin and Arnold of Elk Horn; a step-daughter, Mrs. John Larsen of Harlan; two step-sons, Henry and Alvin Mortensen of Kimballton, 17 grandchildren and a sister, and several brothers and sisters in Denmark.
